Interface Tour

Let's take a quick tour of the Billix interface so you know where to find everything.

Main Layout

The Billix interface has four main areas:

1. Sidebar (Left) - Navigation, chat history, and agents
2. Main Area (Center) - Your active conversation
3. Input Area (Bottom) - Where you type messages
4. Header (Top) - Model selector, settings, and account

Sidebar

The left sidebar is your navigation hub.

Chat History

Your recent conversations appear here, grouped by time:

• Today - Chats from today
• Yesterday - Yesterday's chats
• Last 7 Days - Recent chats
• Older - Everything else

Agents

If you have any background agents set up, they appear in a separate section. Click an agent to see its chat history and runs.

Search

The search bar at the top lets you find any conversation instantly. Search works across all your chat messages.

Collapse Sidebar

Click the hamburger menu icon or press ⌘+B (Mac) / Ctrl+B (Windows) to collapse the sidebar and get more screen space.

Main Chat Area

This is where your conversation happens.

Messages

• Your messages appear on the right with a colored background
• AI responses appear on the left
• System messages appear in the center (like "New chat started")

Message Actions

Hover over any message to see action buttons:

• Copy - Copy the message text
• Edit (your messages) - Change what you said and get a new response
• Regenerate (AI messages) - Get a different response
• Branch (AI messages) - Start a new conversation path from this point

Canvas

When the AI creates code, diagrams, or other interactive content, it appears in a Canvas panel on the right side of the screen.

Input Area

The bottom of the screen is where you compose messages.

Text Input

Type your message in the large text field. You can write multiple lines by pressing Shift+Enter.

Model Selector

The dropdown next to the input shows your current AI model. Click it to switch to a different model.

Attachments

Click the paperclip icon to upload:

• Images (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP)
• Documents (PDF)
• Text files

Send Button

Press Enter or click the send arrow to submit your message.

Header

The top bar contains important controls.

New Chat

Click the + button or press ⌘+Shift+O to start a fresh conversation.

Settings

Click your profile picture to access:

• Profile - Your name, email, avatar
• Customization - AI personality preferences
• Models - Favorite and disable models
• Integrations - Connect apps
• Billing - Credits and subscription
• API Keys - Use your own API keys

Quick Navigation Reference

Mobile Interface

On mobile devices, the layout adapts:

• Sidebar becomes a drawer that slides in from the left
• Swipe right to open the sidebar
• Swipe left to close it
• All other features work the same
