Documentation

Two-factor authentication (2FA) requires a second verification step when logging in, protecting your account even if your password is compromised.

Setting Up 2FA

Using an Authenticator App

Go to Security Settings

Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication.

Click Enable

Select "Authenticator App."

Scan QR Code

Open your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.) and scan the QR code.

Enter Verification Code

Type the 6-digit code from your app.

Save Backup Codes

Download and securely store your backup codes. These let you log in if you lose access to your authenticator.

Using Email OTP

Go to Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication.

Select "Email OTP."

Confirm your email address.

Each login will send a code to your email.

Logging In with 2FA

  1. Enter your email and password
  2. You'll be prompted for your 2FA code
  3. Enter the code from your authenticator app
  4. (Or enter the code sent to your email)

Backup Codes

Backup codes are one-time use codes for when you can't access your authenticator.

Getting Backup Codes

  • Generated when you enable 2FA
  • Can regenerate anytime in Security settings

Using a Backup Code

  1. On the 2FA prompt, click "Use backup code"
  2. Enter one of your backup codes
  3. The code is consumed (can't be used again)

Storing Backup Codes

  • Save in a password manager
  • Print and store securely
  • Don't store in email or cloud storage

Disabling 2FA

Go to Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication.

Click "Disable 2FA."

Enter your password to confirm.

Enter a 2FA code (or backup code).

Warning: Disabling 2FA reduces account security. Only disable if necessary.
