Access Notion pages and databases with Billix

Connect Notion to read and update your workspace. Access pages, search content, and work with databases.

What You Can Do

With Notion connected:

  • Read pages and content
  • Search your workspace
  • Access databases and their entries
  • Create new pages and entries
  • Update existing content

Connecting Notion

Go to Settings

Open Settings → Integrations.

Find Notion

Click "Connect" next to Notion.

Sign in to Notion

Log in to your Notion account.

Select Pages

Choose which pages and databases Billix can access.

Important: Notion requires you to explicitly select which pages to share. Only selected pages will be accessible.

Allow Access

Click "Allow access" to complete the connection.

Using Notion in Chat

Read Pages

"Show me the content of my 'Project Roadmap' page"

"What's in my meeting notes from last week?"

Search Content

"Find pages about 'marketing strategy' in Notion"

"Search for 'Q4 goals' in my workspace"

Access Databases

"Show me all items in my Tasks database"

Querying Databases

"From my Projects database, show projects where:

Meeting Notes Sync

Name: Meeting Notes Creator
Trigger: After calendar events
Integrations: Google Calendar, Notion

Instructions:
1. Get details of completed meeting from Calendar
2. Create a new page in Meeting Notes database
3. Include: Title, Date, Attendees
4. Add section headers for Notes and Action Items

Weekly Review Generator

Name: Weekly Review
Trigger: Weekly, Fridays at 5:00 PM
Integrations: Notion

Instructions:
1. Query Tasks database for items completed this week
2. Query Projects database for status updates
3. Create a new page in Weekly Reviews
4. Include:
   - Summary of completed tasks
   - Project progress
   - Upcoming priorities

Database Reporter

Name: Project Status Report
Trigger: Daily at 9:00 AM
Integrations: Notion, Slack

Instructions:
1. Get all projects from Projects database
2. Filter for active projects
3. Create summary with:
   - Project name
   - Current status
   - Next milestone
4. Post to #project-updates in Slack

Notion Structure Tips

Page Access

Remember to grant Billix access to:

  • Individual pages you want to use
  • Database pages (the database itself, not just items)
  • Parent pages if you want child page access

Database Properties

When working with databases, reference property names exactly:

  • Use the exact property name from Notion
  • Mention the database name for clarity

Privacy & Permissions

What Billix Can Access

Only pages and databases you explicitly shared during connection.

Granting Additional Access

To add more pages:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. Click "Manage" next to Notion
  3. Add additional pages
  4. Or: In Notion, share pages with the Billix integration

Revoking Access

Remove access in both places:

  1. Billix: Settings → Integrations → Disconnect
  2. Notion: Settings → Connections → Remove Billix

Common Questions

Troubleshooting

"Page not found"

  • Ensure the page is shared with Billix
  • Check the exact page title
  • Verify in Notion Settings → Connections

"Unable to update"

  • Confirm Billix has write access to the page
  • Check that property names match exactly
  • Ensure the page isn't locked
